Cicada molting is a process that is fascinating to me.

The molting signifies that the larvae are becoming strong. Inspired by this process, my work sheds the consumer armature of everyday objects in my apartment. The process feels like a cleansing. The embellishments of corporate design are stripped away, and my relationship to objects in space is made more ethereal. Everything can breathe again. The skeletal mesh outlines delineate things but their materiality is sacrificed for the sake of a more open and meditative perception of the environment. The process is also healing and therapeutic, an antidote to the traumatic aftermath of a severe car accident in which, although nobody was seriously injured, we were shaken by the disruption of our complacent assumptions about our mortality.  My accompanying Buster-Keaton-influenced video of routines performed with the mesh forms adds a twist of absurdity to the ghostliness of voided forms.

My art is telling you a lie. On my stage, every character is fake, but with truth behind. Fairytale is the way I apply. Stemming from the concept, my thoughts are conveying through the Jouy Design. Because I have a fetish to collect what I like, doing installation with objects is the method I employ. Curtains, chairs, wood frames and warm lights are basic stuff I apply. Sensible smell and tactile nature are the taste of my toy. Outside on the street, coding in the ad is what I see in my eye. Social identity of mine is the issue I’m wondering every night; Searching for the truth of the elusive life is another theme I want to try. In sum, institutional critique is the topic I wanna catch like a butterfly. Never am I, doing creepy artworks make a baby cry. Between the reality and limbo aside is the metaphor of bourgeoisie, I decorate my theater before I die. Come, becoming participants to share this phantom time. Stop peeping through the hole outside,  welcome to my magical land. With sculptural illustrations, I’ll show you the story in the place under spot-light. At last, please, enjoy my honest lie.
